For over 50 years (1966-2017), Catholic Charities Disability Services and Ministries has offered persons with disabilities, throughout the Diocese of Cleveland, opportunities and resources to live life to their potential and to participate fully in Church and society.
Congrats to Sharita Taylor!!
We are so proud of Sharita Taylor, who attends our Saturday program, along with her twin sister Shaye, who is also a skater! Such talent in that family! Sharita is heading to the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2017 next month for Figure Skating! Take a look at this story from WKYC Channel 3 – Cleveland and you’ll see why she’s heading to the Olympics! Congrats to you Sharita – we can’t wait to hear about it at Saturday school!!
We are deeply saddened to inform you that Pearl Cahoon, former Secretary & Interim Director for Catholic Charities Disability Services has passed away.
Pearl was one of our earliest employees of the then called “Apostolate for the Mentally Retarded” in the 1970’s & 1980’s. She worked as Secretary and jumped in as “Interim Director”. Pearl was also very involved in the Faith & Light Community. She was deeply dedicated to children and adults with disabilities. She loved the mission & work of Catholic Charities.
Pearl was one of a kind and we are blessed to have known her and to have been a part of her life. She will be missed but we know that she is rejoicing!
