Catholic Charities Ashland County
Catholic Charities Corporation Administrative Offices:
7911 Detroit AvenueThrough the use of puppets and other media, our program teaches young children how to relate to others, express feelings and handle difficult behaviors. This program is offered in-home and at Geauga daycare centers and schools.
Social skills are some of the most important skills we learn as children, as we will use them throughout the rest of our lives.
Our Early Childhood Mental Health Program uses the Incredible Years curriculum to teach these skills to children in daycare, preschool and elementary school classrooms as well as at home.
The Incredible Years is a practice that uses puppets and other media to help children learn about expressing feelings, handling difficult behaviors and relating well with other children and adults.
Our program serves children ages 4 and up, providing counseling and collaboration with other service providers to address appropriate childhood interventions for developmental and mental health concerns.
The Early Childhood Mental Health Program is funded in part by the Geauga County Board of Mental Health & Recovery Services, Geauga County Job and Family Services, Mental Health and Recovery Board of Ashland County, Mental Health and Recovery Board of Wayne & Holmes Counties, and individual contributions.
