Engaging a New Generation – A Vision for Reaching Catholic Teens  By Frank Mercadante

EngEngagingNewGenCvr_Coloraging a New Generation critically examines our commonly held assumptions as well as our often-used models and methodologies initially developed to reach late Baby Boomer and Generation X teens.  It then introduces you to the core characteristics of the Millennial Generation teens and the pastoral implications, where the operational and ministerial borders are expanding far beyond traditional youth ministry.

For Ages Unending – The Ministry of Liturgy with Adolescentsnfcym_ages_coverfront_2213_general

For Ages Unending is the fruit of the collaborative effort between the leadership of the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM) and the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions (FDLC).  This document is a continuation of the work begun in From Age to Age: The Challenge of Worship with Adolescents (1997).   Following the overview and preliminary considerations, it addresses history and theology, practice in ministry, and closes with a path for renewal.   For Ages Unending is for all those “who take seriously the call to include the young members of the church in the church’s central act of worship.”
