The Pope invites young people from all over the world to attend and celebrate together at World Youth Day (WYD). WYD is six days of fun, prayer, catechetical sessions, informal gatherings, and festival events plus a vigil and concluding mass with the Pope for youth & young adults, ages 16 to 35. This gathering is held every three years at an international location. Our office assists parishes with preparations for attending WYD by:
- Seeking out and sharing relevant information related to:
- Housing and meal options
- Providing training on request for WYD group leaders.
- Facilitating the connection and networking of individuals & groups making the pilgrimage to WYD.
- Assisting parish with participants’ integration back into their local faith communities by providing strategies and resources.
