CRS Rice Bowl Collection 2020
CRS Rice Bowl supports hunger and poverty alleviation efforts both around the world through Catholic Relief Services (75% of gifts) and also here in the U.S., where our Diocesan 25% supports our Catholic Charities Emergency Hunger and Shelter Fund. This helps to fund our food pantries, hot meal programs and homeless shelter, which are currently serving more people than ever before. This global/local connection is important as communities in the US and around the world are both struggling with the economic impacts of COVID-19.

How to Turn in CRS Rice Bowls
As parishes and schools remain closed through the Lenten and Easter seasons there are now three ‘socially distant’ ways to turn in your Lenten sacrifices. No matter how families send in their Rice Bowls, they will be split with 75% going to CRS to fund global relief and 25% staying in the Diocese of Cleveland to support our Emergency Hunger and Shelter Fund at Catholic Charities. With everyone ramping up support in response to COVID-19, these funds are more important than ever.
