Camp Happiness Match Challenge
The Logsdon Family Foundation has challenged us to the 3rd Camp Happiness Match Challenge. They will donate $10,000 to Camp Happiness if we can raise $10,000! We did it in 2017. We did it in 2018. Can you help us do it again in 2019?
Join us in celebrating Disability Awareness by rising to this challenge. Donations will be used for kids attending Camp Happiness. What is Camp Happiness? It is a six week day camp for kids and young adults ages 5-21, with disabilities. The kids look forward to a fun-filled summer! They go swimming, go on fun field trips, make lots of new friends and so much more!
Our families struggle to send their kids to camp each year. Yet camp is so important for children with disabilities socially! Donations will be used for: financial assistance as many of our families come from below or at poverty; field trips so that these kids get to experience activities that they would not otherwise be able to; and for swimming.
Are you up for the Match Challenge? Any amount will help and is appreciated by the many families who can’t afford camp!
- A $10 donation will pay for a child’s field trip to the History Museum
- $50 will pay for one site to go swimming for one day
- $700 will pay for one camper to go to one week of camp
- $4,200 will pay for one child to go to camp for all six weeks
- Can you imagine what $20,000 will do?
You can donate online. Or you can send a check made payable to “Catholic Charities Disability Services” to Disability Services, 7911 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44102.
