The premise of our program is to provide job seekers with the individualized attention necessary for them to develop a total awareness of their skills, needs, strengths and abilities to promote the self-confidence required in today’s world of work. The assessment provides our Employment Coordinators with information regarding the job seeker’s basic skills and social support systems that will help them obtain employment. The data gathered during the assessment are critical in identifying the job seeker’s strengths, needs and barriers to employment and setting individualized, long and short-term career goals based on their preferences, interests and abilities. In addition, the assessment will provide information that will be used throughout engagement to assess the job seeker’s progress towards self sufficiency.
