CYO’s philosophy states that every player participates at all divisions of play. Each athlete must be treated with Dignity regardless of their ability. Participation on a team allows players to learn and understand the values of cooperation, teamwork, sportsmanship, responsibility and respect. CYO encourages each child to develop at their own pace while working for a common goal by regulating mandatory participation rules. The participation requirements are clearly defined in the sport rules. It is our Hope that each athlete can make a significant contribution to their team.
Genesis 1:27 remind us “in the Divine image God created humanity.” CYO Athletics encourages every athlete and every coach to accept one another with compassion, respect, patience, kindness, humility and understanding.
