The Bishop Roger Gries CYO Good Shepherd Fund was created in 2007 to help provide access to CYO sports programs to youth in need within the Diocese of Cleveland CYO. When student-athletes must “pay to play”, these costs can be an insurmountable obstacle for kids & families suffering in poverty.
The Bishop Roger Gries CYO Good Shepherd Fund provides supplementary funding for student participation, sports equipment, uniforms, facilities, and leadership training for CYO member programs. CYO is committed to never turning any child away due to a lack of funding. The Bishop Roger Gries CYO Good Shepherd Fund allows us to continue to build on the CYO legacy for all children for generations to come. Since its inception, over $250,000.00 in grants have been awarded.
